apparently, my sister's motto on boys when she was seventeen was
"boys are only good for two things: kissing and manual labor."
i'm not sure i've ever been more proud to have her as my sister.

My motto, after nearly 9 years of marriage, is modified somewhat, but I still believe that all 17-year olds should think this way.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your comment, but i'd like to modify it just a bit. Don't you think that all nineteen/twenty year olds should also think that way?
ReplyDeleteYes. Actually, I do. I'm not sure precisely when I think that attitude should change.
ReplyDeleteit shouldn't change immediately. it should evolve slowly when your best friend is a good man, who is good at kissing and manual labor and slowly he let's you discover that he's good at lots of other things. including but not limited too: watching jazz games, throwing baseball's to little boys who can't catch, over and over, taking little girls to a princess ball, squishing gross bugs, teasing, .....actually the best part of that is when you get to discover it for yourself......
